• Passion for the outdoors

• Ability to teach and be taught

• People connector

• Decision maker

• Good communication skills

• Thoughtfully organized

• Patience and appreciation for variety of skill levels 

• Embraces diverse backgrounds, ethnicities, ages, & personalities

• Prioritizes safety above all

• Able to act quickly in case of an emergency

• Represent the Mountains Sea & She - Outdoor Adventures brand with positivity and enthusiasm!

NOT required:

• There is no age limit! We welcome ambassadors from age 18 to 100 and beyond!

• You are NOT required to be the fastest hiker to lead hikes.

  • You set the pace expectations (grouping by speed recommended). We only ask that you plan events within your skill level for safety purposes.

• You are NOT required to lead both hike and paddle events.

  • Only host events that you are knowledgeable and comfortable with.​

• You are NOT required to schedule events at a particular time.

  • This is an unpaid volunteer position. YOU come first - whether that means if you are a weekday or weekend adventurer, a busy mom, have religious obligations - you do what works for you. 

• You will NEVER be asked to sell or promote sales as an ambassador (any promotions, sales, or giveaways will be handled solely by the MSSOA founder). We WILL however celebrate your growth as an Adventure Ambassador and the growth of your Mountains Sea & She chapter! ​
